• Election Clerk and Alternate Judge at election sites: Brenda has served in these important roles to ensure fair and transparent elections in her community, demonstrating her dedication to this democratic republic in which we live.

• Precinct Chair: Brenda's role as a Precinct Chair for the past 26 years demonstrates her deep commitment to the community. She actively engages with neighbors on important topics of the day, educates citizens about upcoming elections, supports candidates who enhance the quality of life for Farmers Branch residents, and influences future laws that govern city, county, and state jurisdictions. If you have lived in District 2 of Farmers Branch for any length of time, Brenda has probably knocked on your door and provided you information to stay educated and get involved.

• Constitution Alive Course, by Attorney Rick Green: Understanding how our government operates is crucial for those who want to live in a free, self-governing society such as ours. Brenda completed this course that is taught by Rick Green, a former Texas State Representative and founder of Patriot Academy. She promotes this in-depth study of the US constitution, educating citizens about their rights and responsibilities under the Constitution. She says this understanding provides a solid basis for government at the state and local level as well.

• Biblical Citizenship Course, by Attorney Rick Green: Brenda's passion for understanding what it takes to be good citizens under all levels of government is reflected in how she both attended and taught this course, which emphasizes the role of faith and moral values in responsible citizenship. It is these Biblical principles that have shaped American history and governance, and that we must teach to our children and our neighbors to remain free and prosperous.

Farmers Branch Experience

• Charter Review Committee: Brenda served on the Charter Review Committee, a vital group responsible for reviewing and recommending updates to the City Charter. This committee ensures that the governing document of Farmers Branch remains effective, relevant, and responsive to the needs of the community by evaluating policies and suggesting amendments to the City Council.

• Family Advisory Board: Brenda contributed to the Family Advisory Board, which focuses on supporting family-oriented initiatives and policies within the city. This board works to enhance the quality of life for families by advising city leaders on programs and services that benefit residents.

• Community Watch: Brenda actively participated in the Community Watch program, a neighborhood-based initiative that promotes safety and crime prevention through resident involvement and collaboration with local law enforcement.

• Certificate of Achievement: Police Academy: Brenda earned a Certificate of Achievement from the Farmers Branch Citizens Police Academy, a 33-hour program designed to educate residents about police operations, policies, and community safety efforts.

• Certificate of Achievement: Fire Academy: Brenda completed the Teen Fire & Rescue Academy, a hands-on training program that provides knowledge and experience in fire safety, rescue operations, and emergency response.

• Supported many candidates in their run for office: Brenda has a long history of supporting fellow candidates, helping to strengthen community leadership and representation.

• Precinct Chair for 26 years: Brenda has served as Precinct Chair, representing her precinct in local party activities, organizing voter outreach, and playing a key role in grassroots political efforts for over two decades.
